You might find you have no allies in a territory you recently conquered because no one around you has the same culture, meaning your time there could be pretty short. You usually have a negative opinion score with a character of a differing culture. In that case, more often than not, other rulers will be against you and likely view you negatively. For example, suppose you are of the Norse culture. Your character’s culture determines how others view you and how much control you have over counties you control.
